Many people experience discomfort with social media following a loved one receiving ‘the knock’ or a vigilante attack.
It’s little wonder that our community become so wary of social media.
I have personal experience. I understand the fear.
So… it might seem a little strange that I am now writing a blog post welcoming people to join us on social media, or indeed that I am on there myself.
I, like many family members, angered and bewildered by so many aspects of this nightmare have a burning desire to raise awareness of our situation.
The problem is, where to begin?
This is where Twitter comes in.
It’s a great way to get our voices heard, in real time, to a captive audience.
In terms of personal safety, you don’t have to use your own name.It is possible to use a pseudonym when joining Twitter, and therefore, you can keep safe. You can block or mute any accounts that you don’t want to see.
Please consider coming to join the fight for our voices to be heard on Twitter. We need you.

You can find our posts using some or all of the below hashtags. Please feel free to use these when posting. A hashtag is literally a word with the hash symbol in front of it which is added to Tweets, and can be searched for in the search function on Twitter.
